Guest page
I built this website. The voice on it isn't mine — that's my partner's half. I do the art.
Quick thing before anything else: I'm not GalaxyZeinz. GalaxyZeinz is the voice actor this site belongs to — the demos, the credits, the reel, all of that is theirs. I'm mcss. I built this site, I do the art, and the two of us work together. This page is the art half of that. So if you came here for a voice, that's them; if you came for a picture, that's me; and if your project needs both, you're already in the right place.
I'm a programmer first — that's the actual job, and I've been doing it for over ten years. This website is one of the things that came out of it. I've been drawing for more than seven of those years alongside the code, and it's still what I do when I want to make something with my hands instead of my keyboard.
People started asking to buy it, so now I take commissions — only the kind of work I'm genuinely good at. The three pieces below are a fair sample of what you'd actually get if you ordered from me, not a best-of reel.
I price per job rather than off a menu — tell me what you're after and I'll quote it. If you need a voice on it as well, GalaxyZeinz and I work together, so ask for both and we'll sort it between us.
Character illustrations, key art, one-off pieces.
Scenes built and lit in 3D, then painted over by hand.
Built to read small in a crowded list and still get the click.
Tiny, round, and still legible at thirty-two pixels.
PFPs for YouTube, Discord, Instagram, wherever you show up.
Banners, cover art, odd one-offs. If it fits the style, ask.
Everything below is the same style: dark, painterly, heavy contrast. It's the one I've spent seven years getting good at, so it's the only one I take work in. No flat vector, no chibi, no pixel art, no copying another artist's look. If that's what you want, I'd rather send you to someone who lives in that style than hand you a worse version of it.
Every commission needs a reference from you. Every single one, no exceptions. A drawing, a screenshot, a mood board, your character's current PFP, a scribble on paper — anything I can actually look at. It isn't a formality; it's the difference between me painting your character and me painting a stranger who happens to match your description. No reference, no order.
There's a short list of things I won't draw and none of it is negotiable: no NSFW, no gore, no sexist content, no racist content, and nothing suggestive involving minors. It's written out in full further down so nobody has to find out the hard way.
Character illustration
This is what a character piece from me looks like. Ink wash, black on white, no colour doing any of the work — the whole thing has to hold up on shape and contrast alone, which is most of the reason I paint this way. The signature behind him is painted into the piece, not a watermark stuck on afterward.
Whether it's an OC of your own or a character out of something you already love — anything with a silhouette worth looking at — this is the one to judge me on.

A thumbnail for the Roblox game Driving Empire. Completely different job from a character piece: this one has to survive being shrunk to the size of a stamp in a game list and still read as blue car, night, fast. So the lighting does all the shouting — neon underglow, one warm lamp on the right, everything else sunk into blue.
If you run a game and you need something people actually click on, this is the shape of it.

Albedo, framed square for a YouTube, Discord or Instagram avatar, which means it has to still work at sixty-four pixels. That's why the eyes are the only warm thing in the entire painting — everything else is deep blue and god rays. Two amber eyes and you can pick her out of a member list.
PFPs and bot icons get built with that shrink test in mind every time.

Robux and PayPal.
Those are the only two — no other payment methods, sorry. We agree the price before I start anything.
One style, no exceptions.
I only work in the style you can see above. I don't take requests in other styles, not as a favour and not for more money. It isn't me being difficult — anything outside it would be a worse piece than the one you came here for.
You always send a reference.
Every order needs a reference from you, and there are no exceptions to this one. A drawing, a screenshot, a mood board, three photos taped together — anything at all, as long as it exists. If there's no reference I can't start, and I'll ask you for one before I quote you a price. Every time.
By commissioning me, you agree that your request will NOT include:
As a freelancer, I reserve my right to decline any request that goes against my TOS.
Message me with what you want and your reference, I'll quote you, you pay in Robux or PayPal, and I paint it. That's the whole process.
Have this ready in your first message:
Send all of that in one go and I can usually quote you in a single reply.
@mcs.s
Discord is the fastest way to reach me — DM @mcs.s directly, I don't run a server. The email address is GalaxyZeinz's outreach inbox rather than mine, so put "art" or "mcss" in the subject line and it'll find its way over.
GalaxyZeinz and I are two different people doing two different jobs, but we work as a pair — which means between us there's more on offer than either half alone. A voice, the art, or the two together for the same project. Ask for whichever you need and it gets handled from the same place.
GalaxyZeinz — the voice half of this. Bio, kit and rates.
The voice acting reel, roles and credits — my partner's side of the work.
Artwork on this page is by mcss. The voice acting everywhere else on this site is GalaxyZeinz's.
